iPad_iChing2Several years ago I found an easy to to use I Ching tool by Giacomo Tufano. I had it loaded on my Computer and enjoyed asking it quick questions some times when I was working. The program’s icon is on my desktop easy to see and tempting to click on.

Since that time I have created my own I Ching Prescriptions, I Ching Meditations and I also like to look at the Wilhelm version and other I Ching interpretations. Meanwhile, my computer’s operating system became so outdated and I had to update with a new computer for the latest operating system. When that happened I lost a lot of my “toys” that could not translate to the new operating system. One of these programs that was lost in the transfer was Giacomo Tufano’s,  I Ching.

A few days ago  I saw a posting about Giacomo Tufano’s new version, called logically enough, I Ching 2. He is selling it for the iPad and iPhone at the bargain price of $1.99. You can find it in the app store here.

I bought the program for my iPAD and also got it for my iMAC . I will post a permanent link to the program on my sidebar for Resources.

To show an example of the  I Ching 2 program in stead of a question in my mind when I clicked on the coins I said, “comment on posting Giacomo Tufano’s new I Ching on my blog.”  The response I got was Hexagram 63, After Completion with no changing lines.  The program is delightfully and deceptively simple and yet has tools for saving as well as interpretations in 6 languages.

I Ching question

Here is the screen shot of the page for the hexagram in Chinese.  If you are another I Ching geek who enjoys many I Ching interpretations, how can you go wrong with this at this price? If you are a newbie to the I Ching you will love this program. It is so easy to use and you won’t be making judgements and compare it to all the other I Ching variations out there. My only suggestion for a new user to the I Ching is that if you access your reading electronically the tendency will be not to really penetrate the meaning by leaving the reading quickly. If you are familiar with a variety of I Ching interpretations, then this one adds to the experience.

I just went to Giacomo Tufano’s web site and asked him if his program is available in Windows 7. I don’t use Apple or Android products.

    • I can’t help you with that isse. I just post his program here. Good luck with finding out if you can use it. I love it a a quick adjunct tool. Different from the usual Wilhelm interpretations, os others or my own. It all works.

  2. […] I have a desk top mini program simply called, I Ching, created by Giacomo Tufano which I wrote about previously. […]

  3. Trish – I like this program for its ease of use. And I like adding the reading to my own. It has 6 language interpretations. That’s pretty amazing in itself.

I WISH I had at least my I Ching Prescriptions as an app. I need a programmer to handle the interactive part for the web — am so so busy just trying to keep up with everything.

Thanks for posting this, Adele. Right now, I have a freebie ching interp on my ipad. It’s okay, but not great. I’ll certainly try this one! You should come up with an app – with your interps!
