The Image of Lake over Water

Image, I Ching hexagram 47, exhaustion

There is no water in the lake: the image of Exhaustion.
Thus the superior man stakes his life on following his will.
Wilhelm/Baynes

Perhaps a drought of energy is causing you to feel depressed or confined.
Maybe you pushed too far. This is a situation of fate.
There is no point in fighting it, nor talking about it.
No one will listen to your complaints.

Remain above the situation in your mind.
Stay in touch with those you can depend on until the difficult time passes.

    no one cares about me
all anyone cares about is themselves
and my role in their horrid little
comfort zone that is – stifling – cant breath
ghastly – terrible – no one would believe –
    how awful my life is
